I’m Dejan (Dex) Zivkovic.  I write here at thepursuitofhealthy.com.  The single question that I want to answer through my writing is, “How can we create a great life?”   In other words, I write about ideas you can use to be happier, healthier,  and more successful.

The Pursuit of Healthy and You

I struggle with the same things we all do.  There are days I’d rather binge-watch a show instead of going for a workout. I’m capable of making poor decisions.  I can be impatient and get frustrated when things don’t go as planned.  And sometimes, I’d rather eat a cheeseburger than a kale salad.

At times, we have all wondered why it seems so incredibly hard to get from where we are now to where we would like to be.  If you would like to discover research-driven ways to live better, like I would, you’ve come to the right place.  

I am fascinated by high achievers.  Often, I write about artists, athletes, and business people that interest me.  I like to learn about their accomplishments, what they have in common and how they got there.

Through reading and research, I find science-backed ideas that I build upon.  My writing comes from wisdom in the fields of science, history, economics, medicine, philosophy and more.  I believe that these ideas can be used by all of us as we try to improve at just about anything.  I hope you will find them useful.

My work on this website reminds me that I don’t have all the solutions.  I find myself learning a lot along the way.  But, what I am excited most by is sharing with you with what I’ve come across so far.  Most of all, I hope you’ll use what you find here to help you achieve something exciting and ambitious in your own life.
